PULSAR® have proudly announced they have become an official supporter of Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg Charity no. 1080839), a charity that helps those who are suffering from and have been affected by breast cancer.
Unlike many other trusts and foundations, Pink Ribbon Foundation have very little infrastructure, instead relying on the hard work of trustees, interested parties and patrons to maximise the amount that goes to the charities who benefit from the funds raised.
Over 150 charities have been supported by Pink Ribbon Foundation and the funds have helped in many varied ways such as therapy sessions for patients and families, specialist equipment for nurses or vital research into the disease.
12,00 women sadly die from breast cancer every year
1 in 8 women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their life
Every 10 minutes in the UK, somebody is diagnosed with Breast Cancer
As devastating as these stats are, the work that trusts such as Pink Ribbon Foundation have done to support charities across the country means that more women are now surviving breast cancer than ever before.
Now, almost two-thirds of women who are diagnosed with breast cancer survive their disease beyond 20 years – and the five-year survival rate for breast cancer has increased from 50% to 80% in the last 40 years.
With PULSAR®’s ever growing innovative ladies range of protective clothing – and now the introduction of their brand new Blush AirGill face masks, PULSAR® saw this as the perfect opportunity to help support such an important cause.
PULSAR® are committed to donating from the sale of every PULSAR® ladies garment sold through the website – as well as every garment sold through the PULSAR® distribution network.
